The Grant County Fair has some commemorative die-cast tractors available for purchase. These are the 2008 & 2009 tractors. We will not have a 2010 tractor at this time.
Limited edition 2009 Commemorative Grant County Fair tractor
The Allis Chalmers "G" tractor was designed for small farms & gardens. The small rear engine machine was more like a motor cultivator of the 1920's than it was a tractor. It featured a full line of custom implements that mounted under the belly. It was manufactured from 1948-1955. There were 29,976 of them built. In 1955, the purchase price was $970.00. It held 5 gallons of gas.
Limited edition 2008 Commemorative Grant County Fair tractor
The Oliver 1355 tractor was manufactured from 1969-1971. It was a four cylinder diesel tractor. Purchase price in 1971 was $5,500.00
These commemorative tractors can be purchased at the Fair Office 608.723.2135 or Extension Office 608.723.2125 in the Youth & Ag Building of the Fairgrounds in Lancaster for $50.00 each or mailed with an additional postage fee of $10.00 for one and $5.00 each additional tractor.
